OWCP PROVIDER CREDENTIALING

All providers who want to help injured federal workers have to first be credentialed by the Department of Labor. This process could take several weeks. Most delays are due to errors on the part of the person working at DOL, or their 3rd party administrator. For providers, it’s very important to do the credentialing process perfectly so not to cause anymore unnecessary delays.

Form OWCP 1168 – Provider Enrollment Form

This form must be filled out to include all licensed persons in the office. This includes:

MD/DONP/PAPT/OTPTA/OTALicensed CounselorsPsychologists / PsychiatristsAny other state licensed practitioners

Also, fill out the Payment Information Form for ACH payments that is part of the 1168 pack. This form allows the bank to pay you via electronic ACH. These payments are made into your bank account each Thursday.

The 1168 packet includes excellent, detailed instructions about how to fill out each box of the packet. Follow those instructions for a perfect credentialing submission.

Be sure to submit a copy of each person’s state license with your OWCP 1168 packet. Failure to do so will result in a denial and you’ll have to start the process all over again.
